With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of LaVerne May Maricak of Harrison Township, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Michael and Mary Margaret Keenan (Myers); her husband Michael Maricak; and her siblings, James Keenan, Wanda Woelkers and Elayne Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Higel, Jacquelyn Pytel (Gerry), Ken Harp (Cherie) and John Maricak (Karen); her grandchildren, Ron (Judi), Jason (Alexis), Kyle (Catherine), Jeremy, Kelly, Kevin and Dawn (Fred); and her great grandchildren, Jessica, Alissa, Stella, Scarlett, Molly, Calvin, Alice and Preston.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Michigan, Leader Dogs for the Blind, or The Salvation Army.
