Carol Lee Bauknecht Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Lee Bauknecht of Harrison, Michigan, born in Freeland, Michigan, who passed away on November 5, 2022 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Warren and Garnet C. Shaffer (Groner); her husband Phillip Bauknecht; her son-in-law Chad Smith; and her siblings, Beverly Cody (Jesse), Frank Shaffer (Kathy) and Fred Shaffer.

She is survived by : her daughters, Shawn Marie Hanes of Harrison and Tressa Lynn Smith of Harrison; her grandchildren, Gary Allen Hanes, Jr. (Klesa Marek), Christine Marie Hanes and Taylor Lynn Smith (Tolbin Andreasan); her great grandchildren, Maisy Marie Redman, Hazel Rene Hanes and Leon Frederick Redman; and her siblings, Sharon Hummer, Jeannie Andreasan (John), Jerry Shaffer (Debbie), Marie Bebeau (Roger), Diane McManus, Larry Shaffer, Terry Shaffer (Dawn), Jim Shaffer (Linda) and Jim Mapes (Cindy). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
