We announce the death of Elaine Joyce Dunckel of Harrison, Michigan, who passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 82. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donny Ashley and Bonnie Ashley; her brother Jay Ashley; and her daughter-in-law Kimberly Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Stanley Dunckel; her sisters, Janelle Stevens of Satsuma, FL and Charmane Kingsbury; her sons, Terry Dunckel (Sue) of Plainfield, Illinois, Joe Ellis of Harrison, Michigan, Michael Dunckel (Joni) of Mason, Michigan, Robert Ellis of Chesaning, Michigan and Steven Dunckel (Becky) of Milford, Michigan.; and her grandchildren, James (Allie), Amber, Ian, Justine (Don), Matthew (Lizzy), Mikayla (Andrew), Steven Jr. (Rachel), Brianna and Joseph. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
