He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Smith (Bullock) and Cyrene Smith Sr. LeeRay; and his siblings, Mary Sadowski, Cyrene Smith Jr. and Larry Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Bullock; his children, Linda Boak (Robert) of Harrison, Sheryl Teves (Tom) of Harrison, Carl Smith (Heather) of Harrison, Eva Albers (John) of Harrison and Marty Chalmers (Scott) of Lansing; and his pet RaeAnn. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews.
