Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janet touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Zack Higgins. She is survived by: her sons, Michael and Mark Higgins; her daughter-in-law Krista Strait-Higgins; and her grandsons, Isaac Higgins (Maryse Higgins) and Owen Higgins. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, Janet has requested donations in her memory to any Michigan based Veteran group, Wounded Warriors or local group that services Veterans.
