He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle K. Smith and Leona M. Smith (Goddard); his wife Eleanor "Jimmie" Smith; and his brothers, Duane and Steve.
He is survived by: his daughter Stacie Smith; and his siblings, Kathy, Pat and Terry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
