He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Elwin and Julia Marie Schaner (Balavitch). He is survived by: his siblings, Jane Schaner Burcon (Michael) of Comstock Park, Louise Schaner of Kalamazoo, Chas Schaner (Marcia) of Caledonia, Johanna Jehnsen (late Wayne) of Lansing and Kathleen Schaner of Middleville. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews; and 4 grand-nieces and nephews.
