He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Walls (Napora) and Frank Walls; and his siblings, Walter Walls, Nancy Pirkl and Rebecca Loucks.
He is survived by: his wife Marguerite; his children, J. Walls, Therese Schafer (William), David Walls (Missy Walther), Kathleen Walls, Matthew Walls, Jeffrey Walls (Becky) and Joseph Walls; his grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Nicholas Schafer, Riley, Mia Walther, Delmar James and Daphne Walls; and his extended family, R. Taylor and Matthew Taylor. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions honoring James’s legacy be directed to Mount Carmel Cemetery c/o St. Mary’s Catholic Church (Big Rapids, MI), Knights of Columbus Council 1300 (Big Rapids, MI), or the Stanwood Lions Club (Stanwood, MI).
