“There is so much more about Elwin "Red" Evans than is shared in this obituary. He was an internationally recognized entomologist. Red retired from the Michigan DNR after many years of analyzing and testing Michigan's lakes and streams for water quality. As many of his friends also knew, he was an accomplished ballroom dancer into his late 80's. Red mentored many, was generous with his time and talent, contributing hours volunteering at MSU's Department of Entomology. He will be missed.”
