It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Marie Kidder (Hastings, Michigan), who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Marie Kidder to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Kosbar (Craft) and Lorenz Kosbar; her son Kevin Thomas; her husband Tom; her siblings, Don Kosbar and Pauline Osborn; her half-sister Joan Kornoelje; and her sister-in-law Bess Gross.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Thompson (Russell) and Ken Kidder (Karen); her grandchildren, Korey Kidder, Doug Kidder (Vicki), Mark Thompson (Jessica), Matt Thompson (Rachel) and Michael Thompson (Becky); and her siblings, Loyd Gross, Stuart Gross (Diane), Joyce Stevens (Earl) and Glenda Stevens (Dennis). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Girrbach Funeral Home (328 S Broadway St, Hastings, MI 49058). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Irving Township Cemetery (4001 W State Rd, Middleville, MI 49333).
Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation.
