She was predeceased by : her parents, Albert E. Hayes Jr. and Edna M. Hayes (Studdard); her spouse Thomas C. Szudzik; her son Timothy Wayne; her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Hayes and Patricia Hayes; and her siblings, Eugene Hayes, James Hayes and Sharon DeMond.

She is survived by : her former life partner Wayne K. Hendrick; her children, Shelley Wolfe (Casey), Joseph Hendrick (Toni) and Laura Pickett (James) of Hastings, MI.; her grandchildren, Sara Hendrick, Steven Wolfe (Brandie Batten), Taylor Pickett, Madison McMasters, Makayla Pickett, Ryan and Kara Hendrick; her great grandchildren, Natilee Rose, Malea and Malayna Johnson; and her brother Arthur Hayes (Jane). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
