It is with sadness that the passing of Ellen Marie Philo of Hastings, Michigan is shared. Ellen, born on August 7, 1962, passed away on September 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell G. Makley and Ardis Ellen Makley (Bunker); and her husband LaCerne "Sam" Philo. She is survived by: her children, Jamie Makley (Charles), Andrea Philo (Brandon) and Amanda Philo (Benjamin); her grandchildren, Damion, Tianna, Kaylynn, Evan, Charlie, Ella-Lynn and Kylar; her siblings, Lynette McGhee (Ken) and Bobb Makley (Amy); her nephew Anthony Makley (Alexis); and her pet Dagger.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Woodland Memorial Park (3551 Velte Rd, Woodland, MI 48897).
Ellen enjoyed sewing, often using her talents to create items that she could donate to charitable causes and those in need.
