He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Bernard and Raymond Bernard; his sister Norma Bonhomme; his brother-in-law Quentin Meyers; his son Daniel Bernard; and his granddaughter Christina Bernard.
He is survived by: his wife Ellie; his children, Dennis Bernard, Dave Bernard (Lorri), Karen Bernard and Julie Dobbin (Jeff); his sister Eileen Meyers; and his brother-in-law Robert Bonhomme. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
