He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Hurley and Arlene Hurley (Knepp); his wife Phyllis Lockwood; and his brothers, Dave and Dick Hurley.

He is survived by: his children, Edward Hurley of Battle Creek, Holly Felzke of Hastings and Tammy Shuck (Tim) of Grand Rapids; and his grandchildren, Raymond Johnson, Trisha Johnson, Kimberly Lomashwick, Karla Maleport, Brett Hurley, Jeffrey Hurley and Sindi Lancaster. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Phil's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
