It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Laroy Root of Hastings, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Richard shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Richard farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his children, Richard "Ric" Glen and Laura "Lauri" Ann; his wife Ann Wheeler; his son-in-law Jim Dimock; and his siblings, Ron, Jim Root and Mary Losiewski. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
