He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Esch and Lenore Esch; and his brother Edward Esch. He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Praska of Grand Haven, Arlene Sandel (Robert) of Grand Haven, Teresa Pubanz (Richard) of Petoskey and Paul Esch of California; and his children, Tracy Gillhespy (Roger) of Roscommon, Tania Thompson (Brian) of Oregon and Mark Hopstad (Kristine) of Washington. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
