He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Hesterly and Jane Hesterly; and his grandparents, Carl, Mildred Jordan, Charles and Hildred Hesterly.

He is survived by: his sister Kimberly (Hesterly); and his sibling's children, Daniel Payne Jr., Jessica (Thomas Plochocki Jr.), Ashley, Sarah, Bailey and Bryce.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
