He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Manning and Evelyn Manning (Smith); his granddaughter Abby Chesney; and his siblings, Fern Christensen, Roger Manning and Arlie Manning.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Wise; his children, Steven Manning (Carol), Julie Chesney (Tony), Bryan Manning (Kathy), Neil Manning (Shawn) and Traci Manning; his grandchildren, Nichole Newsom, Olivia Manning, Emilee Manning, Tyler Chesney, Tremayne Manning, Desmond Wardlaw, Jesse Manning and Alisha Manning; his sister Pearl Howe; and his sister-in-law Elaine Manning. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bannan Funeral Home (222 S 2nd Ave, Alpena, MI 49707). The military honors will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
