He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Susie; and his siblings, Ben, Agnes Hekhuis (Nieboer), Nellie, Adam Hunter, Gerald, Thelma Hekhuis (Jordan), Connie and Roy Crater.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hekhuis (Foster); his sons, Jeremy and Darren; his daughters-in-law, Christine and Karla; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Isaiah, August, Adelaide and Caleb.
