He was predeceased by : his parents, Howard Kaichen and Margaret Heavenrich Kaichen; his sister Susan Kaichen Duddy; his former life partner Elizabeth Kaichen; his grandson Mason Litak; and his close friend Jerry Schroder.
He is survived by : his wife Joan Davis Johnson Kaichen; his children, Lisa Kaichen (Leon Broussard), David Kaichen (Vicki Chiaverini) and Carolyn Litak (Robert); his stepchildren, Kimberly Carmichael (David) and Kenneth Johnson (Maria Robinson); his granddaughters, Angela Kaichen, Erika Kaichen Brady and Marissa Kaichen Litak; his great grandchild Gavin Chaisson; his parents-in-law, Bonnie, Jerry McMullen, Richard and Marsha Davis; his niece Christy Spangler; and his nephews, Russell McMullen, Blair and Steven Duddy.
