She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dale Hankins and Charlene Hankins (Murdock); her husband Steven Posante; her daughters, Julia Posante Michie (Barry) and Tracy Holmes (Deric); her grandsons, Jacob Michie, Benjamin Holmes and Matthew Holmes; her sister Patricia Merlau; and her brother-in-law Steve. She was also cherished by two nieces and two grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkview Packnett Cancer Institute of Fort Wayne or Hospice of Hillsdale County.
