She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Johns and Helen Potts (Eyler); her stepfather Donald Potts; and her siblings, Sonny Johns and Pamela Davis.

She is survived by : her husband Charles Henry Mitchell; her children, Diane Tamblyn (Patrick) of Ann Arbor and Stephen Mitchell (Cheri) of Hillsdale; her grandchildren, Jameson Tamblyn (Lydia), Annie Showalter (Zak), Holden Tamblyn, Stephanie Michell, Matthew Mitchell and Emily Salazar (Joel); her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lilliana Salazar and Hallie Showalter; and her sisters, Lois Martin and Linda Baker.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie's honor can be made to the memorial fund at the Hillsdale First United Methodist Church.
