He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Masters and Dorothy Masters (Eidenier); his wife Laura Beal (Frisbie); his stepchildren, Ellen Beal and Norman Beal; and his brother Grant Masters (Lois).

He is survived by: his daughter Martha Rediger (Jim); his stepgrandchildren, Todd Beal, Ryan Beal (Kimberly) and Brian Rediger (Joy); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Parker Beal, Brianna, Eli, Brooklyn, Sofia and Daniella Rediger; and his stepdaughter-in-law Diane Beal.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bird Lake Wesleyan Missionary Church.
