He was predeceased by: his parents, Buretta Handshoe and Hicks. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Handshoe; his children, Jacqueline Gill (Tyler) of Avilla and James Handshoe of Hillsdale; and his siblings, Bertha Colburn (Randy) of Kendallville and Gary Handshoe (Sue) of Auburn, Indiana.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
