He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Johnstone and Doris Johnstone (Kilgore); his son Steven Johnstone; and his former wife Lana Jean Johnstone. He is survived by: his sons, Samuel Raymond Johnstone, Timothy Paul Johnstone (Manda), Christopher Sean Johnstone and James Matthew Johnstone; his grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Johnstone, Christopher Sean Johnstone, Jr., Charles Patrick Johnstone, Tina Wirth, Steven Johnstone and Craig Johnstone; his great grandchildren, Maya, Rowan, Paige, Collin, Shane, Mariah and Lillian; and his daughter-in-law Elaine Johnstone.
