She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hicks and Marie Hicks (Cook); her husband John Black; her son Donald Black; her siblings, Art Hicks, Dean Hicks and Lucille Nesbitt; and her great grandchild Karissa Black.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Chaco (Kin), Robert Black (Shirley), Doug Black (Cathy), Dawn Buskirk (John) and Marilyn Mathias (Mark); her daughters-in-law, Dawn Black and Terrie Felske (James); her brother Lloyd Hicks (JoAnn); and her sisters-in-law, Mary Hicks and Norma Hicks. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the First Baptist Church of North Adams or to Claudia's Glen at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility.
