William Richard Nye Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Richard Nye of Hillsdale, Michigan, who passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Nye and Esther Nye (O'Day); his wife Peggy Ann Leffingwell; and his siblings, Ruth Hanna, Marilyn Richards and Frank "Fritz" Nye.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Nye (Laura) of Hillsdale and Jill Draper (Mark) of Hillsdale; and his grandchildren, Eric Nye, Carly Hasen (Scott) and Leah Nye (Morgan Langhann).
