It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Richard Pavka of Hillsdale, Michigan, who passed away on January 8, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Pavka and Mary Pavka (Belick); his son Claude Pavka; and his siblings, John Pavka, Mary Harbaugh, Ann Sweeney, Josephine Williams, Mildred Gripman and George Pavka.

He is survived by: his wife Laura Pavka; his children, Bill Pavka (Donna) of Reading, Robyn Galloway (Rich) of Reading and Ashlee Pavka of Beverly Hills, Michigan; his grandchildren, William Pavka III, Amanda Petz and Ryan Galloway; his brother Joe Pavka (Betty) of Reading; and his sister-in-law June Pavka of Kendallville, Indiana. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Hillsdale County or the Greater Hillsdale Humane Society.

Bill was always a spark plug in the class engine...he was fun to be sure and I always liked him. He hosted a wonderful 1955 Quincy High School reunion at his lake side home in Hillsdale in June 2010 (think it was that year) - it was fantastic with big white tent up for all os us to eat and chat about the old times. !
