She was predeceased by: her fiancé Cornelius DeRuiter (Case); her parents, Gerardus Sluijs and Elisabeth van der Sluijs (Schuuring) of Made-Drimmelen; her son Paul; and her siblings, Jan, Jacobus van der Sluijs, Elizabeth van der Sluijs (Betje), Aartje Elizabeth Vander Veken and Anna Klazeina De Vries.
She is survived by: her children, John DeRuiter (Leonard Rogalla) of Muskegon, MI, Jack DeRuiter (Pamela) of Alexander City, AL, William G. DeRuiter (Sharon) of Kalamazoo, MI, Elizabeth A. DeRuiter-VandeWaa of Spanish Fort, AL and Mark DeRuiter (Cathy) of Pittsburgh, PA.; her grandchildren, Alexander DeRuiter (Blair), Taylor DeRuiter (Katie), Casaundra Jordan (Jeff), Jennifer Branson (Kevin), Dustin DeRuiter, Matthew DeRuiter (MicKayla), Arie VandeWaa (Caitlin) and Elissa Pennington (Kerrigan); and her great grandchildren, Jackson, William, Bennett Green, Brooklyn DeRuiter, Karson, Riley Pennington, Eliza VandeWaa and Milo DeRuiter.
