We are sad to announce that, on April 12, 2026, Barbara Slaybaugh Raymond of Holland, Michigan, born in Yonkers, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Dick Raymond; her son-in-law Larry Helder; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Krell and Carol Coleman Slaybaugh. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Raymond of Brooklyn, NY, Lyn Raymond of Holland and Jane Raymond Gailey of Carmel, Indiana; her grandsons, Sam and Max Gailey; and her siblings, Eleanor "Skippy" Krell and Chet Slaybaugh (Charlene). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The New York Times Communities Fund.
