She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Luiken and Fanny Luiken (Wilts); her husband Wayne; and her brother-in-law Keith Huisman. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Vos (Alvin) of Lynden and Karen Gorter (Andrew) of Holland; her sister Ruth Huisman of Springdale, AR.; and her grandchildren, David Vos (Elaine) of Lynden, Katherine Padilla (Nic) of Spencer, Michael Vos (Emily) of Lynden and Allison Geenen (Kyle) of Holland, Michigan..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's memory to either The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association (SRNA) or to Samaritan's Purse.
