We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2025, at the age of 84, Bruce Eldon Homkes (Holland, Michigan) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Homkes and Lois Homkes; his son Jeffery Homkes; his siblings, Forrest Homkes and Marilee; and his brother-in-law Paul Vroon.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Kurt Homkes of Hamilton, Julie (Greg Engelsman), Brooke (Shawn Anderson) and Erika Homkes of Holland; his grandchildren, Kurtis Homkes (Alyssa), Cody Engelsman, Olivia Engelsman (Cameron Kennedy), Eric Mathews (Megan), Jeremy Mathews, Shaylen, Ethan, Westin and Gideon Anderson; his great grandchildren, Jagger, Presley Homkes and Wren Engelsman; his siblings, Larry Homkes (Carol) of Hamilton, Rick Homkes (Darlene) of Russiaville, IN and Karen VanderSluis (Merle) of Holland; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Homkes-Dean (Ron) of Ionia and Mira Klaver of Zeeland. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Holland.
