He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Kinkema and Tena Kinkema (Jurries); his daughter Phyllis; his former wife Phyllis Poel; his daughter Susan French; his son-in-law Jerry Pell; his stepson Steven Goodyke; his sister Mary; his brother-in-law George North; and his in-laws, Elmer, Audrey De Jonge, Joyce Rottschafer and Vern Brummel.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Goodyke (DeJonge); his children, Doug, Patty Kinkema, Nancy Pell, Dale and Jill Kinkema; his stepchildren, David, Jeanne Goodyke and Dawn Goodyke; and his sister-in-law Marcia Brummel. He is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Holland Christian Schools, Zeeland Christian School, Grand Haven Christian School, and Hospice of Holland.
