She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gunderman and Laura Gunderman; and her sister Loreen Chadwick. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeri Lauer and Laura Logan; her sons-in-law, Mark Lauer and Carl Logan; her grandchildren, Malachi and Esther Lauer; her brothers, Leonard Gunderman (Kathy) and Doug Gunderman (Chris); and her brother-in-law John Chadwick. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“I worked with Connie, on 3rd shift, at Benjamin's Hope. I grew closer and closer to her as we visited with each other. We would have tea together and chat. We would laugh together and sometimes cry. She was a very special Christian lady and I will miss her very much. I lost my husband in 2020 and she was always gracious to check on me and make sure I was doing OK. She helped supported me as I navigated my way though a very tough time in my life and I will always remember her for that.”
