He was predeceased by: his mother Adelaida Bernal; his wife Sherie Bernal; and his sister Grisel Pardo. He is survived by: his sons, David (Barbie Bernal), Antonio Bernal, Mike (Karina Bernal) and Nick Bernal; and his siblings, Jesus Ruibal (Rina), Joe Bernal (Ingrid), Ricardo Bernal, Arturo Bernal, Mayra Bernal Bush and Marleny Bernal Otero. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
