He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Schaap and Susan Schaap; his wife Marjorie Drooger; his children, Susan Kalkman (David), Daniel Schaap (Kathy), Sharon Clark (Ron) and Vivian Lane (Brad); his stepbrother Bob Jousma (Eileen); his grandchildren, Marjie Guerriero (Jason), Michael Schaap (Bernie), Matthew Schaap (Heather), Melissa Kelley (Patrick), Ashlee Haase (Steve) and Kelli VanBennekom (Tim); and his brothers, Ken Schaap (Marlene) and Louis Schaap (Vonnie). He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
