Elaine Helmus Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 15, 2025, Elaine Helmus of Holland, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney. She is survived by: her children, Jane Eggebeen (Tom), Sidney J. Helmus (Heidi), Kathleen Scripsema (Glenn), Tom Helmus (Lori), Bob D. Helmus (Marian), Maria Rodriguez Vasquez (Tito) and Lourdes Lancel (Ivan); her brother Thomas Holwerda (Carole); and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Holwerda and Elizabeth Holwerda. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Hillside Community Church (1440 68th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in memory of Elaine may be made to Luke Society in Sioux Falls, SD.
