She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Loewy and Annette Loewy; and her sister Nancy Polen. She is survived by: her children, Connie Steinke and Clark Keefer; her daughter-in-law Michelle Keefer; her grandchildren, Taylor and Hudson Keefer; her brother-in-law Bob Polen; her niece Kim O'Connell (Dan); and her nephew David Polen (Deann).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ellen's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, an organization close to her heart, based in Washington, DC.
