He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Houghton Davis and Raymond Theodore Davis. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his sons, Theodore, Nicholas (Darla) and Charles (Angelina); his grandchildren, Geoffrey (Leann), Jessica, Rebecca, Jackson, Katherine, Charles, Griffin and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Micah; and his siblings, Jane and Charles (Claire). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, American Heart Association, Trout Unlimited or Cherry Street Mission in Toledo, Ohio.
