He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Robert Williams and Harryette Williams; his parents-in-law, Eugene Vande Vusse and Gonda Vande Vusse; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Lancaster and Fred Vande Vusse.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his daughters, Dorothy Lowry (Curt) and Rebecca Shumaker (John); his grandchildren, Chase (Reagan), Michael (Emily), Wyatt and Madeline; his great grandchildren, August, Elias and Charlotte; his siblings, Betsy Lancaster and Martin Williams (Karen); and his brother-in-law David Vande Vusse (Marcia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; a circle of dear friends; and several foster children.
