It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Irwin Kooman (Holland, Michigan), who passed away on March 27, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Kooman and Sadie Kooman; his wife Betty Kooman of Holland; his children, Diane Westveld (Barry) of Zeeland, Dave Kooman of Holland and Dan Kooman (Bonnie) of Zeeland; his granddaughter Mandy Plumer (Scott) of Arvada, Colorado; his children, Krysta Quick (Andy) of Borculo, Michigan, Anna Eisele (Ben) of Hudsonville, Michigan and Nicholas Kooman of Zeeland; his great grandchildren, Mason and Ella Plumer; and his sister-in-law Arlene Kooman of Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Crossroads Prison Ministries, an organization that James and Betty volunteered at for over 10 years.
