James Staple Obituary

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Staple of Holland, Michigan, born in Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 78, on August 22, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Staple and Rena Staple (Doorn); his siblings, Ronald Staple (Mary) and Sandra Staple; and his niece Katie Merz.

He is survived by: his children, Rebecca McFarland (Matthew), Elizabeth McKenzie and David Staple (Marta); his son-in-law Robert McKenzie; his grandchildren, Rachel, Maggie McFarland, Lilly McKenzie, Ramona and James Staple; his sisters, Jeanne Klobucher (Frank), Joanne Prince (Mike) and Cheryl Merz (Dale); and his wife Louise Garter (Garter) of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He will be forever missed by his family who asks that in lieu of flowers, you please make a donation in his name to either the Hope College Endowment Fund or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
