He was predeceased by: his mother Wanda Briggs (Harmon). He is survived by: his father Vernon Briggs; his wife Sarah Fallon; his children, Sarah Elizabeth DeBacker (Jared) of Holland and John Adam Briggs (Genevieve Beaulieu) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Micah, Joel, Faye and Harrison; and his sisters, Janet Briggs (Eric Patzer), Sara Baar (David) and Julie Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either to the Commemorative Tree program at Michigan State University or to the Michigan State University College of Music in memory of John Briggs.
