She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Ess and Goldie Van Ess; her brother Jack Van Ess; and her granddaughters, Taylor Bylsma and Jaide Bylsma.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Bylsma; her children, Dan Bylsma (Janice), Tom Bylsma and Betsy Kopp (Russ); her grandchildren, Jacob Bylsma (Samantha), Jonah Bylsma, Caleb Bylsma (Kaila), Jordan Bylsma, Logan Bylsma (Stephanie), Mitchell Kopp, Isaac Bylsma, Aleah DeVries (Ben) and Madelyn Kopp; her great grandchildren, Leland, Cameron, Hutchinson, Tucker, Skyler, Hallie and Isla; and her sister Delores Bixel (David).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Reformed Church (630 State St, Holland, MI 49423).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope College Bylsma Family Scholarship Fund or Hospice of Holland.
