He was predeceased by: his brother Ronald; his sister-in-law Lynn; his in-laws, Alvin, Barbara Jager, Rosemary Van Haitsma and Randall DeBoer; his niece Jennifer VanDam; and his nephew Eric DeBoer.
He is survived by: his children, Sally Zwier (Daniel) of Holland, Steven (Janis) of Budapest, Hungary, Marshall (Marcelynn) of Holland and Courtenay Michmerhuizen (Anthony Notario) of Ann Arbor; his great grandchildren, Lauren, Brandon Dekker, Allison, Elise and Claire; his brothers, Donald (Judy), Richard (Jane) and Russel (Wanda); his sister-in-law Tricia Aukema; and his in-laws, Terry Van Haitsma, Judy Bruinsma, Russel, Connie VanDam, Janice DeBoer and David Smits.
