It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne W. Brummel of Holland, Michigan, born in Bartow, Florida, who passed away on May 4, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Forris Brummel and Gertrude Brummel; his parents-in-law, Edward and Henreitta De Jonge; his sister Shirley Guevera; and his siblings-in-law, Noe Guevera, Elmer De Jonge, Paul VanderLeek and Joyce Rotshaffer (VanderLeek).
He is survived by: his wife Marcia; his children, Mark Brummel (Kari) and Michelle Gruppen (Toby); his grandchildren, Jordan Palladino (Marcaé), Bailey Brumels (Hunter), Sophia Blystra (Christopher), Luke Gruppen and Ella Gruppen; his great grandchild Elijah Palladino; his siblings, Eileen Brummel and Kevin; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Brummel, Audrey De Jonge, Roger Rottschafer, Clyde and Jeanne Kinkema. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Vern's honor may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Hospice of Holland.
