She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Van Dis Jr.; her children, Douglas and Jeanne; her parents, Louis DeWaard and Alma DeWaard; her in-laws, Ben and Irene Van Dis; her sister Elaine Van Dam; and her sister-in-law Karyl Van Dis.
She is survived by: her children, Laura, Mark Ebbers, Steve and Nancy Van Dis; her grandchildren, Joel, Kara Ebbers, Anna, Matthew Beck, Leah, Joshua Mugford, Steven Guy Van Dis and Wilson Van Dis; her great grandchildren, Braeden, Emma Ebbers, Cora, Oliver, Bella Beck, Laura, Andrew and Ben Mugford; and her siblings, Jim (Gloria DeWaard), Jack DeWaard, Bertus Van Dis and Pauline (Daryl Wabeke). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
