She was predeceased by: her parents, Joel Hirdes and Henrietta Hirdes; and her brother Monty Hirdes. She is survived by: her husband Richard Weerstra; her children, Todd Weerstra (Patricia), Heidi Plaggemars (Steve), Amanda Clark (Ryan), Faith Weerstra and Hope Monroe (Rick); and her sister Gyla Seega. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nephews and nieces, many cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Central Wesleyan Chapel (445 W 40th St, Holland, MI 49423). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
