She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Howard and Pearl Short Howard; and her siblings, Nathaniel Howard and Barbara Simpson-Howard. She is survived by: her husband Carl Freeman Simpson, Jr.; her children, Eric Simpson of Holland, Michigan, Stephanie Simpson of Holland, Michigan and Allison Howard (Tymon) of Holland, Michigan; her grandson Jeremy Simpson (Erica); her great grandchildren, Jayden Robert Alexander Simpson and Zoe Mae Elizabeth Simpson of Kalamazoo, Michigan.; and her sisters, Alice Holliman of Holland, Brenda Northern (Robert) of Kenosha, Linda Howard of Holland and Annette Howard of Holland, Michigan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and adopted children.
