She was predeceased by: her husband Neftali Betancourt-Vazquez; her parents, Pazita Vazquez-Malave and Lorenzo Malave; her siblings, Luis (Juanita Malave), Miguel Malave, Moncho Malave, Artemia Hernandez and Manuela Malave; her nieces, Olgita Malave, Zoraida Castro and Yolanda Hernandez; her nephew Ferdinand Malave; her brother-in-law Johnny Castro; and her son-in-law Gary Michael Griffiths.

She is survived by: her daughter Naomi Betancourt; her son-in-law Joel S. Vogelzang; her granddaughter Crystal-Carrie (Matt Grossi); her great grandchildren, Braxton and Maverick Grossi; her grandson Tyler Michael (Jamee Lyn Griffiths); her sisters, Tommie Castro of Orlando, FL., Elena, Geronimo Veguilla of Opaka, FL. and Petra Malave of Orlando, FL; her nieces and nephews, Alma, Al Ortiz of Winter Park, FL., Maria Orquidia, Paul Marchesani of Prospect Park, PA., Carlos, Merle Malave, Downers of Grove, IL., Frank, Jose, Linda Malave of Ellenton, FL., Ramona, Fred DeLeon of Montclair, CA., Edwin, Mirna Malave of Lenox, IL., Millie Malave of Rialto, CA., Luis Malave of Mansfield, TX., John Jr., Magda Castro of Orlando, FL., Ron Castro of Orlando, FL., Hilda Malave of Caguas, Carmelo Malave of Caguas, Carmencita Millan of Caguas, Martin Vargas of Orlando, FL. and Luisito Rosario; and her godson Angelito Rosario (Neftali Pinto). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
